A 60-day journey through Australia is being halted following the tragic passing of an older lady who was stranded by the cruise liner on a isolated coastal location.

The passenger had been walking on the tropical location with other travelers from the Coral Adventurer, but parted ways from the party for a rest. The ship left without her and came back later that day after the crew realised the lady was missing.

An extensive hunt found her person the following day.

Investigative bodies are examining the incident, alongside police and the state coroner.

The CEO of the voyage organizer said that travelers and crew on the ship were informed that the continuation of the voyage had been cancelled due to the "sad loss and previous technical problems".

Via official communication, he further stated that passengers would be issued a complete reimbursement, and said the operator was working "to arrange the return journeys of the travelers via chartered flights".

Regulatory bodies also issued an revised announcement, and said they had "provided a order to the Master" prohibiting any additional guests from getting on the vessel.

The spokesperson said that they would inspect the ship in Cairns upon its coming back.
